Update December '17

It may be the most wonderful time of the year, but sometimes can feel like the busiest as well! We've been working through items on our road map and have some great additions to close out 2017!

First up, we have extended the pedigree view with a COI (inbreeding coefficient) calculator. This view provides better oversight on common ancestry and which lines may be working for you.

While many folks take advantage of the 'Auto Breeding Exposure' option, it became clear that manually setting the exposure window had benefits in certain situations...initial setup was one of those moments. Now you can access the 'Exposed' type in a 'Mated' event to set your own breeding window.

In the November updates, we promised improvements on the mob performance tool, now you can look at mobs by pasture or as a total herd and the system will sort and group progeny together and the data has already been adjusted to account for age of dam, litter size and management group...the hard work has all been done, you just need to launch the report to identify the sires working for you!

Finally, we've updated the individual animal reporting so the printout can now be used as marketing material. As part of this update, reporting on animal history is now a separate printout which can be exported as PDF or CSV for use in excel.

Stay tuned for an exciting 2018, we have a few big projects in the works to simplify data collection and re-use and we're excited about the promise of the new year.

We would like to thank the Livestocked community for the stream of ideas and feedback, most importantly for keeping us excited about delivering better tools to livestock producers, we've been operating on paper for far too long and I think 2018 is going to be a big year for getting value out of digitized records!!!
