You can create a new product by performing a long press on the 'Products' button on the dashboard.
Once you have the new Product screen open, then you need to select the product type to create:


Generic: Use as a catch all, for products that don't fall into the fixed product types below.
Produce: Use for produce to be sold through revenue transactions (eg. Beef, Chicken, Pork, Corn, Beets...)
The 'Unit Type' field can be used to sell produce as per/each or per/weight.
Nb. This product type supports inventory management.
Feed: Use for animal feeds to be used in 'Feed Out' events (eg. Hay, Silage, Grain...).
The 'Unit Type' field can be used to control how items are stores and used. For example, Hay Rounds would be 'Each' but 'Grain' would be weight based (Kgs / Lbs / T).
Nb. This product type supports inventory management.
Drug: Use for drugs to be used in 'Treated' events (eg. Vaccines, Antibiotics, Drench...).
The dosage row allows you to set rate calculation, this can be acheived by setting the base dosage with unit type, then the multiplier. For example, 1|ml per 10|kg.
Use the 'Withold' field to automatically apply a withholding period to applied animals.
Nb. This product type supports inventory management.
Genetics: Use for semen and embryos intended for 'Breeding' events.

Seed: Use for seed products to be used in 'Seeded' events.
Use the 'Rate' field to calculate total product required when recording a 'Seeded' event.
Use the 'Maturity' field to set a timer for harvest.
Fertilizer: Use for fertilizer products to be used in 'Fert' events.
Use the 'Rate' field to calculate total product required when recording a 'Fert' event.
Use the 'Withholding' field to automatically apply withholding periods to applied pastures.
Pesticide: Use for pesticide products to be used in 'Spray' events.
Nb. This product type supports inventory management. Use the 'Rate' field to calculate total product required when recording a 'Spray' event.

Pricing
The 'Price' field sets the default revenue price when used in a transaction.
The 'Cost' field sets the default expense price when used in a transaction.
The 'Revenue Account' and 'Expense Account' sets the default product category for accounting.
Inventory
The 'Inventory' field sets the stock on hand value.
Nb. Products with inventory locations require setting the stock on hand at the location level.
