No recent comparisons available although feeder prices were unevenly steady with the last reported sale four weeks ago. Slaughter cows sold with a lower undertone. Supply moderate. Demand moderate to good. The market was probably better than expected as tight feeder supplies and past profits help maintain demand. Packing plant closures and reduced slaughter pace have helped soften fed cattle demand and cause uncertainty about cattle prices even though the numbers are on our side for the time being. The current Ag Center Feeder Meter shows feedlot closeouts to be red by well over $400/head.
